A unique poetry and pottery playshop for adults who want to reconnect with creativity, play, and wonder

When was the last time you made something simply because it brought you joy?

Not for work.

Not for social media.

Not because you had to be good at it.

Just because creating felt good.

Hello, I'm Maria your host. At Hold A Poem, we're bringing together two beautiful forms of expression, poetry and clay, in a gentle, beginner-friendly playshop designed to help you slow down and reconnect with your creative self.

THROUGH GUIDED WRITING PROMPTS, PLAYFUL EXERCISES, CONVERSATIONS, AND HAND-BUILDING WITH CLAY, YOU'LL CREATE:

- A poem that is uniquely yours

- A small ceramic keepsake inspired by your poem

- New connections with fellow curious humans

NOTE:

❌ This is not a traditional poetry workshop.

❌ This is not a pottery class.

✅ It's a space to play.

No experience is required. You don't need to identify as a poet, artist, or creative person to join us.

WHAT WE'LL DO? OVER THREE HOURS, WE'LL EXPLORE:

- Playful writing exercises and prompts

- Guided reflection and creative exploration

- Poetry-writing activities

- Brainstorming a ceramic piece based on the poem

- Hand-building a small ceramic piece

- Sharing, conversation, and community

- A relaxed, pressure-free creative experience

WHO IS THIS FOR? THIS PLAYSHOP IS FOR YOU IF:

- You've been wanting to create more

- You miss hobbies

- You've always wanted to write, but don't know where to begin

- You enjoy meaningful conversations

- You're curious about poetry, pottery, or both

WHAT YOU'LL TAKE HOME:

- Your original poem

- A handcrafted ceramic keepsake

- A few hours of presence, play, and creativity

YOUR REGISTRATION INCLUDES

✔ All poetry and pottery materials

✔ Firing and glazing of your ceramic piece

✔ A 3-hour facilitated playshop experience

Please note: Ceramic pieces require drying, firing, and glazing after the session. You can collect your piece from the studio, or if you prefer delivery, shipping charges will be additional and based on the courier costs at the time of dispatch.

We believe adults deserve spaces to play.

Sometimes, making something with your hands and heart is enough.

If that sounds like something you've been craving, we'd love to create with you.
