Somewhere between the food we grew up eating and the people who we grew up around, there are little pieces of who we became.

We’re attempting to bring some of those pieces to a table of 8, through our food, stories and the simple joy of sitting down with people we may not yet know.

Melaara is a Mangalorean supper club, where we bring food and community together.

Come home to Kashaaya & Avalakki. Wander around. Meet the others. And then, as the evening settles, we will sit together and talk about The People Who Made Us, the ones who taught us, changed us, loved us or simply left a bit of them on us!

And then, the dinner will be served.

There’ll be chaape & banana leaf. And a traditional Mangalorean vegetarian meal served one dish at a time, with everyone serving a little to one another before we begin.

Homemade food, soft classical music, warm lights, stories from our life, and 8 strangers sharing an evening.
