Desserts & Debates

About the event
Pick a side. Defend it. Eat the consequences.
If you peaked in your school debate club. If you have argued with a stranger on the internet and stayed for the reply. If someone at home has told you that you are exhausting to argue with.
This evening is for you.
Parliamentary-style debate, except nobody is being polite about it. A statement drops. Everyone picks a side, and there is no neutral. You huddle with your team, you build your case, and then the room comes for you. If someone changes your mind, you cross the floor in front of everybody.
Three rounds, three arguments, and a dessert built for each one. All of the brownies are questionable on purpose, made specifically for the argument you are about to have. You taste first, argue second, and maybe end up wrong about both.
By the end you will have defended a position in public, been taken apart at least once, built a brownie you have to justify, and found out whether your taste was ever really yours. You go home with a brownie box picked for you, based on how you argued.
One of the three statements, so you can start preparing:
"If you have to acquire the taste, it's probably not actually that good."
You just picked a side when you read that. Now come defend it out loud.
