About the event
Not a playlist. Not music playing somewhere behind the conversation.
away From Desk is for listening.
For its second edition, Tabitha Kagoo and Jeremiah de Rozario come to away.center Koramangala for an evening of original music, with the sound—and the songs—given the attention they deserve.
Tabitha Kagoo
Tabitha writes about things she has lived through, quietly noticed or carried with her for a while.
She began singing in her church choir at ten and has spent the past decade writing and performing original music. She has also been part of Tabby and Sanjai and Scrambled Eggs, and is currently working on her debut EP with Nyima Records.
Her songs do not rush to explain themselves. They sit with doubt, memory, relationships and the questions that rarely come with clean answers.
Outside music, Tabitha is a special educator. She uses songs and rhythm in her work to help students develop language, confidence and new ways to express themselves.
Jeremiah de Rozario
Jeremiah is a singer-songwriter from Kochi making indie pop with folk-rock edges.
He keeps his writing direct: stories from his own life, things happening around him and melodies that do not need dressing up. He has released five singles and a four-track EP, toured across South India and opened for Prateek Kuhad, When Chai Met Toast, Matthew Ifield, Tejas and Sooraj Santhosh.
