About the event
🌿 CITY GIRLS WALK — 27th September | Cubbon Park | 9 AM
Why do we do these walks? Because we think making new friendships doesn’t always have to start with “Hi, what do you do?” Sometimes, it can start with a walk, a silly question, a thoughtful conversation and a completely new person beside you.
This time, we’re talking about the language we use around women from “princess treatment” and “boss lady” to “gold digger”. What do these labels actually say about how we see care, ambition, independence and being financially supported? Is wanting to be cared for really the opposite of being independent? And why do we gender certain kinds of attention and ambition?
Whether you’re an extrovert or someone who takes a little time to warm up, we’ve got you. You’ll walk in pairs, with a different person and a different prompt every 10–15 minutes, so you get to meet more women without the pressure of making conversation out of thin air.
Come for the walk, stay for the conversations, and maybe leave with a few new friendships. 🫶
