About the event
We’ve all seen the murder mystery reels taking over our feeds—but watching it isn't the same as living it.
I’ve teamed up with the experts at @crimekit.pro to bring a cold case to a cozy corner of Koramangala. But here’s the real plot: the "mystery" is just our excuse. The goal is to bring 25 of you together—folks who probably cross paths in Bangalore every day but haven't had a reason to speak. Until now.
We’re handing you a crime to solve, but this isn’t a role-play; it’s a high-stakes brain-teaser designed to break the ice faster than any "small talk" ever could. The mission? Divide 25 curated strangers into 5 teams and see who can crack the case first. Think pure logic, sharp eyes, and the kind of high-energy teamwork that turns "that person at the table" into a friend by 9 PM.
Are you in, or are you an alibi?

The Case Details:
When: Saturday, 03 Oct | 3:00 PM onwards
Where: Cafe De Verde, Koramangala
The Damage: ₹899 for the detective hat (includes a ₹149 cover charge at the cafe)
The Vibe: Intimate, curated, and limited to 25 curious minds.
A Note on the Investigation: This isn't first-come, first-served; consider this your preliminary background check. Filling this form doesn't guarantee a spot on the force, but it’s your chance to show us your spark before the case goes live. Take your time with your testimony—be yourself, as I’ll be reviewing every file with a smile.
Who knows? You might just be the specialist we need to crack this case.
Love, Praks 🩵

Not at all—that’s exactly what your host is here for! The host greets you right at the door, breaks the ice, introduces you to your squad, and makes sure you feel completely comfortable and settled before anything starts. A huge portion of our attendees come solo and feel nervous at first, but because everyone is focused on a shared mission, you skip the awkward small talk entirely and bond naturally over solving clues.
There is zero pressure to be loud, outgoing, or take charge. Every detective team needs different minds: some people love discussing theories out loud, while others prefer quietly reading through suspect alibis, cross-referencing timestamps, or spotting tiny contradictions in autopsy logs. Your contribution matters no matter how quiet you are, and the host will be floating around the whole evening to ensure every table has an easygoing, inclusive dynamic.
No acting or roleplay involved! You won't be pretending to be a suspect or reciting lines. Instead, everyone acts as a detective. Each team receives an authentic physical Crime Investigation Kit packed with realistic case files, police reports, autopsy findings, suspect interrogation transcripts, physical evidence, and forensic leads. Your objective is purely deductive: pore over the evidence, cross-verify alibis, find inconsistencies, and crack the case.
Solo sign-ups are warmly encouraged! We group participants into balanced investigative squads of 4–6 people. It’s an effortless icebreaker—instead of awkward networking small talk, your team is immediately collaborating over maps, photos, and timelines.
All teams receive the exact same case files and race against the clock to submit the correct conclusion (Who did it? How? Why?). Requesting hints from the chief inspector or submitting false accusations/incorrect theories will incur time penalties. The first team to crack the mystery with the cleanest record wins the detective title (and bragging rights!).
Not at all. The evidence file is designed like a real case dossier—everything you need to solve it is hidden inside the documents. A briefing host will explain how to navigate the kit, track timelines, and submit your deductions before the clock starts ticking.
It is expected that you arrive on time so you don't miss the initial case briefing and team formations. However, if you are running late, please notify the host in advance and check with her—we will try our best to see what can be done to ease you into a team without disrupting the game flow.
Your ticket includes a ₹149 cafe credit redeemable directly on your cafe bill. This amount will be deducted from your final food and beverage order. The cafe kitchen will remain open throughout the evening if your squad wants to order snacks or coffee while investigating.
Just bring your sharp eyes and enthusiasm! Case files, evidence logs, pens, and scratch paper are all supplied in your kit. We suggest keeping your phone tucked away so you can dive straight into the physical documents.
Casual, comfortable cafe wear. You'll be leaning over evidence tables and conferring closely with your team, so pick whatever keeps you relaxed.
Because kits and table squad allocations are printed and curated precisely to the headcount in advance, passes are non-refundable. You may, however, transfer your ticket to a friend by notifying the host prior to the event day.
