Welcome to The Tabletop Lab - a hands-on board game workshop by El Mucho at The Storyteller Cafe.
Each session takes one carefully chosen modern board game and breaks it down so you can actually understand, play it and enjoy it.
You'll learn the rules, make decisions, figure out your strategy and play the game with a small group around the table.
No previous board-game experience is needed.
Beyond the fun, tabletop games naturally create opportunities for conversation, face-to-face interaction, decision-making, problem-solving and mental stimulation. Research on board and tabletop games has found promising cognitive and social effects, although the evidence isn't strong enough to make medical or mental-health promises.
So this isn't therapy.
It isn't a lecture.
And it isn't another night of sitting around scrolling.
It's an hour at the table.
