About the event
Let's talk about the opposite of fragility.
For a moment in July, the NEET paper leak protests led by the CJP looked like nothing could break its momentum. The injuries sustained by fellow students only strengthened the resolve of angry young people to show up to protest sites all over India and in other countries in massive numbers, rather than scaring them away. People’s individual frustrations led to a ground-up uprising and a spontaneous mood of oneness and camaraderie between strangers, that did not depend on the instructions of a formal, centralised leadership.
Some things thrive and grow when exposed to volatility, randomness, disorder, and stressors: evolution, culture, ideas, revolutions, political systems, technological innovation, bacterial resistance.
The protest was anti-fragile.
In this gathering, we will play with exercises inspired by the book Anti-Fragile: Things that gain from disorder, to further understand what makes something fragile or anti-fragile and digest useful insights for our personal lives and communities.
You needn’t have read the book to participate! If you are intrigued by the theme, show up, and you might leave feeling braver and more uplifted.
