Escape the weekly screen burnout and reconnect with your hands! Clay is one of the most forgiving, tactile, and therapeutic mediums in the world.
Whether you have never touched clay in your life or are looking to reignite your creative spark, this 3 hour workshop takes you on a guided journey from "I cannot do this" to creating your very own handmade clay piece.
No prior art or pottery experience required, just bring your curiosity and open mind!
šŗ What Youāll Experience:
1. Introduction to Clay: Understand clay types, moisture stages, and the basics of shaping .
2. Hand-Building Techniques: Learn pinch-pot, slab, and coiling techniques to sculpt your own custom piece (bowls, mugs, planters, or trinket dishes).
3. Texturing & Detailing: Add unique patterns, stamps, and personalized carvings to make your creation truly one-of-a-kind.
4. Mindful Creative Play: Experience clay as an art form and a relaxing, therapeutic ritual.

š©āšØ Know Your Instructor:
An avid reader of positive psychology, Varun started playing with clay in school and rediscovered his fondness for the medium again in adulthood. He has trained in the medium in India, North Carolina & Florence and continue to explore various expressions personally and with others in clay community.
Other instructions:
- This workshop is beginner-friendly and open to participants aged 6 years and above. It is a family friendly session! Children under 12 years should ideally be accompanied by a participating/ticketed
- Our instructor will guide you step-by-step through every technique.
- Parking space for both two-wheelers and four-wheelers is available at / near the venue on a first-come, first-served basis. Cab pick up and drop off points are also readily accessible right outside the venue
- Punctuality: Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the slot time so we can start the demonstration together.
- Wear comfortable, casual clothes (clay washes out easily!). Short/trimmed nails are recommended for a better grip on the clay.
- You get to take your raw clay creations homeĀ onĀ the same day! (Please note: Kiln firing & glazingĀ isĀ not included).
