About the event
You’re good at your job. Then suddenly, you’re expected to lead other people.
You’re managing a team, influencing stakeholders, navigating senior leaders, giving feedback, handling difficult conversations — and somewhere along the way, you realize that being great at your individual job and being great at leadership are two very different things.
This event is a small, informal meetup for people in middle management who are figuring out how to lead effectively — without a playbook.
Over coffee, we’ll talk through some of the real situations managers find themselves in:
- How do you give difficult feedback without damaging the relationship?
- How do you manage someone who is more experienced than you?
- How do you get senior leaders to listen to you?
- How do you push back without being perceived as difficult?
- How do you build executive presence when you’re not the most senior person in the room?
- How do you delegate without feeling like you need to do everything yourself?
- How do you lead people when you’re still figuring things out yourself?
This isn't a keynote or a traditional leadership workshop.
It’s a small-group conversation, with a few practical frameworks and exercises to help us think through the situations we actually encounter at work.
Who is this for? People roughly 5–10 years into their careers who are:
- Managing people or teams
- Transitioning from IC → manager
- Managing managers or larger teams
- Working across multiple stakeholders
- Trying to become more confident and effective as leaders
You don't need to have all the answers. That's kind of the point.
Coffee. Good conversation. Real workplace problems.
Come with one leadership situation you've been thinking about. Leave with a few new ways to approach it — and hopefully a few people worth knowing.
Location: Some cafe in Indiranagar, to be confirmed closer to the event date
