About the event
A little context first:
Science gives us powerful models of the universe, but a model that predicts reality perfectly isn't necessarily a complete picture of what reality is. Are we uncovering the world as it truly exists, or building increasingly accurate representations of it?
Side A: Science discovers a reality that exists independently of us
The universe follows laws whether or not we understand them. Scientific theories succeed because they capture something real about the world—not merely because we've invented useful descriptions. Our models improve as we uncover more of what's already there.
Side B: Science constructs models, not reality itself
Every scientific explanation depends on what we measure, the concepts we use, and the assumptions built into our models. Different models can explain the same observations, yet describe reality in fundamentally different ways. Science may tell us how the world behaves without revealing what it ultimately is.
Pointers we might touch upon:
- Map vs territory
- Dead theories
- Quantum reality
- Math predicting nature
- Science that works

Thinkers' Club is a space for people who are deep thinkers and enjoy reading and better conversations.
We started it because it’s surprisingly hard to find people who want to go beyond small talk, people who enjoy exploring ideas, challenging assumptions, and hearing perspectives different from their own.
We host debate and discussion sessions around topics spanning technology, AI, business, health, society, philosophy and human behavior and more..
No speakers or lectures. Just a small group that want to find their intellectual friend circle.
How to join: Register for the event below. Since we keep these discussions small, spots are limited.
P.S. Please only register if you're sure of attending!
