Sarees and Sambhar: A celebration of Karnataka's handicraft culture

Spend an afternoon at a nearly 70 year old traditional Mangalorean home in Khar West, learning about and celebrating the handicraft foods and cultural elements of Karnataka. We will learn about some often overlooked artisanal ingredients and items, try our hand at some techniques, and then enjoy a meal together. Most importantly, we will reflect and share with a like-minded community for 3-4 hours on what heritage means to us and how we can support its preservation.

Walk away with stories, a full tummy, a community, and a cute little takeaway goodie bag!

The meal will be vegetarian and can be plant-based if needed.
